Chance of flooding: SES

30 Jan, 2012 04:08 PM
There is a 70 per cent chance of flooding in the Upper Hunter until tomorrow (Tuesday) evening, the State Emergency Service has warned.

The SES have issued a flood watch alert to all land owner and farmers adjacent to creeks and rivers in the Upper Hunter.

The alert comes after the Bureau of Meteorology advised that a trough was moving into NSW today and over the north east of the state tomorrow.

The weather pattern is expected to bring with it rain to inland and coastal valleys until Friday.

River and creek checks are advised and if needed irrigation pumps and livestock should be relocated to higher grounds.
